Our winning entry  to the competition is based on creating the most value for students by creating loft-type apartments that are compact, but practical and spacious. Common balconies and shared spaces in the building create social interaction between university students. When the tower rises above neighbouring buildings, balconies are rotated 90 degrees in order to catch views of the river delta and sunsets from the west. This rotation also creates character for the whole building and makes it the new landmark that was requested by the competition programme.
